FIRST, to be sure that you will go to heaven after you die, you must believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God. You must believe that He is God Himself—God in human flesh, the ONLY God of Heaven.

—Matthew 1:23, “Behold, a virgin (Mary, the mother of Jesus) shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son (Jesus Christ), and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”

—1 Timothy 3:16, “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh (Jesus Christ), justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”

SECOND, you must realize that GOD—JESUS CHRIST—is so good that He does not want anyone (including you) to be condemned and go to hell. Rather, He wants you to repent and get saved and go to heaven.

—2 Peter 3:9, “The Lord (Jesus Christ) is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any (including you) should perish, but that all (including you) should come to repentance.”

—John 3:17, “For God (the Father) sent not his Son (Jesus Christ) into the world to condemn the world (anyone, including you); but that the world (everyone, including you) through him (Jesus Christ) might be saved.”

THIRD, you must realize that you indeed are guilty of sinning against Jesus Christ, our GOOD GOD. Sin is the breaking of God’s holy law, and we all (including you) have broken at least one of God’s laws.

—1 John 3:4, “Whosoever (including you) committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.”

—James 2:10, “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he (including you) is guilty of all.”

FOURTH, you must understand that, for having sinned against God, you indeed deserve to go to hell and to die the second death.

—Ezekiel 18:4, “Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.”

—Ezekiel 18:20, “The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.”

FIFTH, you must believe that the Lord Jesus Christ loved you so much that He willingly suffered the penalty of your sins that you deserve—He died on the cross in your place.

—Romans 5:6, “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.”

—Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

SIXTH, you must believe that, after having been buried for three days, Jesus Christ arose from the dead and He is alive today and able to save you. Jesus Christ is now here on the earth in the person of His Holy Spirit, and He is waiting to save you if you will receive Him into your very being.

—Romans 4:25, “Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.”

—Revelation 3:20, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

—John 1:12, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”

SEVENTH, you must repent and let the Lord Jesus Christ save you and take your sins out of your life. To repent simply means to change your mind about continuing in your sins and to let Jesus Christ save you from all your sins, vices, and evil habits.

—Acts 17:30, “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where (including you) to repent.”

—Luke 13:3, “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all (including you) likewise perish.”

THEN, you must know that the Lord Jesus Christ loves you so much that He will forgive you, save you, and liberate you from all the sins that have enslaved you, if you will sincerely believe on Him and receive Him, His eternal life, into your very being as your new life.

—Acts 16:31, “And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou (including you) shalt be saved, and thy house.”

FINALLY, by prayer, you personally must ask the Lord Jesus Christ to save you. You must invite Him to come into your life as your only God, as your sovereign Lord and Saviour, and as your new life. His Spirit is listening to you and waiting for you to ask Him for His FREE salvation.

—Romans 10:13, “For whosoever (including you) shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

IF YOU HAVE SINCERELY REPENTED OF YOUR SINS AND HAVE BELIEVED ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOUR and you have sincerely prayed and asked Him to save you from all your sins, THEN you must take Him at His word and truly believe that He did save you and that you will surely go to heaven after this life.

—John 5:24, “Verily, verily, I (the Lord Jesus Christ) say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth (including you) on him (God the Father) that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

—John 6:47, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth (including you) on me (the Lord Jesus Christ) hath everlasting life.”

NOW THAT YOU ARE SAVED YOU SHOULD THANK HIM FOR SAVING YOU, and you should prove to Him that you love Him by obeying His command for you to be baptized as soon as possible.

—John 14:23, “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he (including you) will keep my words. . . .”

—Matthew 28:18-20, And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them (including you) in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

YOU SHOULD JOIN A GOOD CHURCH WHERE THE BIBLE IS BELIEVED AND PREACHED AND WHERE THE CHRISTIANS TRULY LOVE THE LORD JESUS AND EACH OTHER.

—Acts 2:41, “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.”

—Acts 2:47, “Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”

NOW THAT YOU LOVE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST and you are no longer ashamed of Him, you should begin to serve Christ by telling other people how to be saved so they also can go to heaven.

—Romans 10:11, “For the scripture saith, Whosoever (including you) believeth on him shall not be ashamed.”

—Luke 24:46-48, “And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: 47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 And ye are witnesses of these things.”

—Matthew 10:32-33, “Whosoever (including you) therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33 But whosoever (including you) shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.”

YOU ALSO SHOULD READ AND STUDY THE BIBLE DAILY AND BEGIN TO MEMORIZE PASSAGES OF SCRIPTURE THAT WILL HELP YOU LIVE FOR CHRIST.

—1 Peter 2:2, “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.”

—2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

—Psalm 119:9-11, “Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. 10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. 11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”

FINALLY, YOU SHOULD DEVELOP THE HABIT OF PRAYING TO GOD ABOUT EVERYTHING.

—1 Thessalonians 5:17, “Pray without ceasing.”

—Philippians 4:6, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

—Matthew 21:22, “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”
